Milton is located in Cabell County and was named for the man who owned the original site. It is noted for the historic Mud River Covered Bridge across the nearby Mud River. The former Morris Memorial Hospital for Crippled Children was also placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Since 1986 West Virginia Pumpkin Park in Milton has celebrated the glory of autumn and the harvest with the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival, which has turned into one of the state’s largest fests. The festival was designed to help farmers with the raising and selling of pumpkins. Located in Milton, WV, between the two cities of Huntington and Charleston, along the I-64 corridor, the festival attracts attention from throughout the region. Each October, more than 40,000 people travel to Milton to participate in our celebration of the pumpkin harvest.

Blenko Glass Company has been a family owned and operated company since 1893. It has been located in Milton, WV since 1921. Exquisite color, skilled craftsmen, and imaginative designs have made Blenko famous in the time-honored craft of hand-blown glass. In a world of ever increasing automation, Blenko prides itself in paying particular attention to the forms and designs of its handmade ​​products.

The Milton Performing Arts Center opened in 2011. It is conveniently located at the WV Pumpkin Park, just five minutes from I-64. With a seating capacity of 600, concession area, handicapped accessible restrooms, and plenty of free parking, the Milton PAC presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich, and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of western West Virginia. Its mission is to expose more people to the arts and quality performances.

April Dawn Park is a summertime favorite for children of all ages. The spray-ground at April Dawn Park opens each Memorial Day for kids to play in and cool off all summer long. The Evos-style playground challenges kids to climb and have fun all at once! April Dawn Park features a very nice picnic shelter, a great place for a birthday party or family get-together. Skate-boarders, BMX bikers and rollerbladers will enjoy the skatepark located behind the spray-ground, which is open from 8:00 a.m. until dark year-round.

The Halfway Market was established in 1970 by Boyd and Betty Meadows. It was originally a produce market, however over the years it has evolved into a market of specialties. Not only is there a large selection of fresh produce, but it also carries Amish jams and canned items, Amish furniture, and Amish cheese. Visitors will also find quilts, handbags, fudge, dried fruit, trail mixed, bulk spices, bulk foods, homemade apple butter, Amish made sorghums, and honey. And the great greenhouse is stocked with perennials and seasonal annuals.
